Get Crafty: Holiday Cards
December 8th, 3:00pm to 5:00pm
Listen to the sounds of the season while making holiday cards for your family and friends. All supplies and refreshments provided.


Name That Holiday Tune
December 15th, 3:00pm to 5:00pm
How good are you at naming a song after hearing just a few seconds of it? Test your holiday song knowledge while snacking on cookies and hot cocoa!


AND....AND....A contest very similar to the Holiday Tune program is currently underway in the teen department. To participate, stop by the teen area, pick up an entry form, fill in the blanks to familiar holiday songs with the missing words and then drop your completed form in the box. If you fill in all the missing words correctly, your name will be entered into a drawing for a Books-a-Million gift card ($10 value). The winner will be announced December 15th!

Cardboard Wars!

Check this out...
A teen book group at a Massachusetts library had a unique fundraiser last week...a cardboard tube battle! Here is an article from their local paper. I don't know about you, but I'd totally go to their group!

Pizza Fun

Eating pizza, hanging out with friends, and winning prizes ...what could be better! The pizza challenge was so much fun. Thanks to everyone who attended! In case you missed it, 11 teens sampled cheese pizzas from Marco's, Domino's, Vito's and Pizza Hut! All the pizzas were delicious, but after taking a vote, Marco's won as the overall favorite!

After sampling the pizzas, the group took part in a few games. First up, everyone was given a word search to complete. A prize was given the first contestant to correctly find all 15 pizza related words. "Ham" seemed to be the most difficult word to find :) After the word search, we divided up into groups of two or three for the next game, folding pizza boxes with one hand behind your back!! It's not as easy as one might think, especially when you can't stop laughing. Thanks to Marco's and Domino's for donating the pizza boxes!

Free Pizza!!

Don't forget to register for the Pizza Challenge happening tomorrow from 3:30pm-5pm in the Youth Activity Room.

Participants will be asked to sample cheese pizzas from 4 different pizzerias, followed by a vote on best crust, best sauce, best cheese and best overall pizza!

Gaming at the library

Don't miss Game On! this Friday from 3:00pm to 5:00pm in the lower level meeting rooms. We'll be playing DDR, Guitar Hero and Mario Kart! Plenty of snacks and soda, too! No registration required, so bring a friend!
