Registration is currently underway for the Red Cross pet first aid course for boys and girls ages 11 through 14 at Way Public Library. The one day course will be offered on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The cost of the class is $20 which can be paid by check or money order at the time of registration at the library. There is a maximum of 15 students and minimum of 10 students per class. The deadline to register for the class is July 24, 2010.
Basic pet owner responsibilities, like spaying, neutering, administering medications, managing breathing or cardiac emergencies, preparing for disasters, as well how to manage a variety of urgent care situations, including car accidents, wounds, electrical shock, and eye, foot and ear injuries are some of the topics covered in the course.
